Graduate Commission for Atmosphere

We are offering a creative opportunity for a recent graduate/collective (graduated within the last 2 years) to make a piece of new work for our Spring festival Atmosphere.

The work must be accessible to all members of the public and be inspired by the environment, responding directly to the festival theme of “Love our World”. The work also needs to be produced/performed in a way that is sustainable and has as little impact on the environment as possible. We want you to consider how you would make the project with sustainability in mind.

The work must be ready to be performed/installed for “Atmosphere” on Saturday 25 April 2020, which will take place across the city of Worcester. The chosen project will be produced in conjunction with the Worcester Festivals team, with support provided by the Festivals Director and Festival Producer. The work must be new and original and not something that has taken place before.

Initial creative responses to be sent to David Edmunds, Festivals Director at [email protected] by 6 February. No more than two sides of A4 to outline the project plus visuals/films/video links to your other work.

A select number of artists will then be shortlisted to present to the festivals team, with the chosen project then being produced in March/early April ahead of the festival on 25 April.

Commissioning fee for the whole project including delivery is £1500.
